Lou Barberini is a Certified Public Accountant and Financial Planner with Tre Api Wealth Management.

Lou received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of San Francisco and an MBA in Taxation from Golden Gate University. Uniquely, Lou put himself through school, by hustling on the steep stairs of the local ballparks for Harry M. Stevens and Bill Graham Production.

Lou has been licensed in financial services for over 35-years. Prior to forming Tre Api Wealth Management, Lou was with Ernst & Young, Drexel Burnham Lambert, Charles Schwab, and Malcolm Gissen & Associates. He spent the midpart of his career with the San Francisco Police Department working undercover as a narcotics officer. He is the only officer in the history of SFPD to be designated to the Drug Enforcement Administration for his forensic and money laundering expertise.

Lou has been quoted on financial matters in the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, the Chronicle, AICPA Planner, and Investment News.

Lou has previously been on the board and treasurer of the Northern California Handball Association, Westside Observer, and Gotham by the Bay Media LLC. Lou is also on the board of the SFPD Widows & Orphans.

Tre Api

In 16th century Florence, brothers Carlo and Antonio Barberini were successful grain, wool, and textile merchants. In 1537, Antonio and his nephew Francesco moved to Rome where Francesco drove the business to great wealth. The Barberini family rose to prominence in 1633 when Francesco’s nephew, Maffeo Barberini, was elected Pope Urban VIII.
The Barberini’s family crest sports three bees and thus the translation in Italian to: Tre Api Wealth Management
